About Skald Sagas
Skald Sagas is a campaign management platform built for tabletop RPG directors who want to share the right information with their players at the right time.
Our Mission
Running a tabletop campaign is about storytelling, not bookkeeping. We built Skald Sagas so directors can focus on what matters: crafting memorable adventures and keeping their players engaged.
What Skald Sagas Does
For Campaign Directors
- Share what players need to know. Campaign pitch, house rules, session summaries, character profiles, locations, items, and lore, all in one place your players can access.
- Control visibility. Decide exactly what your players can see and when. Hidden content stays hidden until you're ready to reveal it.
- Plan your sessions. Keep your adventure plans, session notes, and campaign arc organized and private.
- Collaborate with contributors. Grant trusted players permission to help maintain session summaries and campaign content.
For Players
- Stay informed. Access your campaign's shared content anytime. Know the characters you've met, the places you've been, and the lore you've uncovered.
- Track your heroes. Maintain your character profiles within the campaign.
- Review session summaries. Catch up on what happened last session before the next game.
Who This Is For
Skald Sagas is designed for campaign directors who want a clean, focused tool for sharing campaign information with their players. If you run games and want your players to have easy access to the details that matter, this is for you.
We're not trying to replace your worldbuilding tools, your encounter builders, your character sheet managers, or your VTT. Skald Sagas is specifically about the information-sharing relationship between directors and players.
If you're deep into worldbuilding: mapping every continent, writing the history of every kingdom, cataloging every species, you may find that dedicated worldbuilding tools serve that need better. Skald Sagas is about what your players see and experience, not about comprehensive lore documentation.
The Name
In Norse tradition, a skald was a poet who told the stories of heroes and their deeds. That's what campaign directors do: we're the storytellers, the keepers of the saga. Skald Sagas is the place where those stories are shared.
