Vethis Crystal comes out of the coarse veins of the Korrath range, in the same ground as the gemstones. The city of Vethis mines the best of it anywhere.

A spell put into Vethis Crystal keeps running for years instead of hours. The magical standard was worked out around it, so every lamp, message relay, and public fountain built to the standard uses this crystal and no other.
