In the old tales, Mimir was renowned as an unfathomably wise being. He wasn't merely a guardian of knowledge, but a wellspring of it himself, his very being steeped in the lore of the cosmos. His counsel was sought by gods and giants alike, for his understanding of the past and his insight into the threads of fate were unparalleled.

It is said that the deepest source of his wisdom lay within the Well of Mimir, nestled at the roots of Yggdrasil. The waters of this well held the echoes of creation and the secrets of existence. Odin Allfather, hungry for this profound understanding, journeyed to Mimir's well. Knowing the immense value of its waters, Mimir demanded a heavy price for a single draught: one of Odin's eyes. Without hesitation, Odin sacrificed his sight in one eye, gazing into the well and drinking deeply of its wisdom.
