Continuing your trip through the manor, you calmed Kofi down and gave him a knife, then went to investigate the scream.
The next set of thick stone doors was locked, easily picked.
The room was a natural cavern, ritual circle on the ground, dead girl inside the circle, cultists talking about feeding her to the "thing" in the hedge maze, local guy in a nice robe (Sefu) arguing emotionally with a very not local, very well maintained woman in a pure white robe (Anisa) about what the ritual Sefu just completed, did.
The cultists noticed you and chose violence. Anisa retreated. You defeated the cultists. Left Sefu alive for questioning.

You explored the house and found some stuff: The Severing Doctrine, Letter to Georg, and some other loot.
Sefu decided not to play nice so after asking him some questions, you decided to solve the problem the Sentinels way. That's actually what happens in this world - Sentinels have every right to do this when they judge it to be correct. If they're wrong too often, they'll find out about it soon enough.
You buried Esi (the dead girl from the ritual circle) in an oasis.
You took Kofi back home to a hero's welcome, feast in your honor, day of respite, etc. The kid is as talented a musician as his grands said.
